The Investigative Committee has reported a criminal case against a 46-year-old general director of an enterprise in Barysau. He is charged with official forgery and embezzlement (Part 1 of Article 427 and Parts 1 and 2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, the man had access to company property purchased with the organization’s funds and intended exclusively for official use. However, he used it for personal purposes. In September 2022, he gave his son an iPhone 13 that had been issued to him for work. In a similar manner, in May he handed a work-issued Samsung phone to his brother and later gave him a newer device. The older phone was passed to another relative. The director then arranged for the devices to be written off and instructed staff to prepare the relevant documents.

“From September to early December 2024, after the employee responsible for issuing inventory items had been dismissed, the head of the enterprise stole clothing, bedding, notebooks and other property worth more than 4,250 rubles. All the stolen items — blankets, tablecloths, pillowcases, sets of table linen and towels, organizers with wireless charging, jumpers and jackets — he used at home for personal purposes,” the Investigative Committee added.

The accused admitted his guilt and fully compensated the state enterprise for the damage caused.
