The Belarusian Automobile Association has begun assessing stock levels of new passenger cars held by dealers and manufacturers. The data will be published on a regular basis.
According to the association, as of 1 March inventories amounted to 9,500 vehicles, which is 27.7% higher than at the beginning of February.
Stock levels are 2.28 times higher than February sales. According to the BAA, this exceeds standard market indicators. For the Belarusian market, inventories equal to roughly twice the volume of monthly sales are considered normal.
