A discussion platform on cooperation between manufacturers, online platforms and internet stores to promote Belarusian goods online was held at the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Sviatlana Karatkevich.
According to the ministry, the event brought together more than 150 representatives of government bodies, state concerns, manufacturers, dealers and owners of online platforms.
Participants discussed product quality and compliance with technical regulations, the experience of cooperation between the light industry and online platforms, and the opportunities offered by marketplaces for Belarusian producers. A representative of Belpochta presented a project to create a domestic marketplace, Postmarket.by, while a representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the “Made in Belarus” project. MART officials also explained the rules governing digital platforms and the protection of consumer rights in online purchases.
