A 75-year-old woman was injured in Minsk this morning while trying to use public transport.
According to the Traffic Police Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee’s Internal Affairs Directorate, a 59-year-old driver of a MAZ bus, while departing from the stop “Industrial and Pedagogical College,” according to preliminary information, failed to ensure that passengers had finished boarding and closed the doors. As a result, the woman’s hand became trapped. The driver then started moving. The woman tried to run after the bus for some time but then fell. The bus ran over her.
The injured woman was taken to hospital for examination.
Traffic police officers and an investigative task group were working at the scene.
