Chief adviser to Tsikhanouskaya Franak Viačorka held meetings in Prague. According to Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, they took place at the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President of Czechia, and he also met with the Ukrainian ambassador.
The main topics of the meetings were visa issues, assistance for those subjected to repression, and educational initiatives.
“An important result of the talks with the Czech minister was a decision that will allow Czechia to begin issuing visas to relatives of Belarusians living in the country in the near future,” the statement said.
Czechia’s accession to the International Humanitarian Fund was also discussed. This will help provide support to people released from prison and those in need of assistance following repression.
Next week, the Academy of Women’s Leadership will open at the Democratic Forces’ office in Prague, where activists and journalists will receive training and meet with Czech leaders.
In addition, Viačorka spoke at a conference devoted to Czechia’s Eastern policy, where Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation and the role of Belarusian volunteers assisting Ukraine were discussed.
