Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Meets New Italian Chargé d’Affaires

Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Ihar Sakreta met with Carmelo Ficara, Italy’s chargé d’affaires in Belarus. The meeting took place on October 21 on the occasion of the presentation of copies of his credentials.

The sides discussed the state of Belarusian-Italian relations and prospects for their development, and exchanged views on current international issues, Belarus’s Foreign Ministry reported.

Previously, the post of Italy’s chargé d’affaires in Belarus was held by Tomaso Pietro Marchegiani. In July, he completed his diplomatic mission in the country.
