Russia is ready to resume trilateral talks with Ukraine and the United States in November. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov made the statement following a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, on October 21.

“Our president informed Steve Witkoff that, in principle, we are ready to resume the aforementioned trilateral talks in the second ten days of November on the main issue. This issue concerns establishing a security system for Russia and Ukraine after the end of the conflict,” Ushakov said.

Witkoff and Putin also discussed compliance with the agreements on supplies of Russian diesel fuel to global markets and the United States.

The meeting also addressed the possibility of a trilateral meeting between the leaders of the United States, China and Russia on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen in November.

“This idea has not been rejected by any of the capitals — neither Moscow, Washington nor Beijing,” Ushakov said. According to him, the Chinese side is already preparing for the meeting. Putin conveyed to Witkoff “some practical considerations” regarding the topics of possible negotiations.
