Operations at Vilnius Airport were disrupted overnight due to smugglers’ weather balloons.
According to a statement by the airport’s press service, traffic was halted at 22:30 on Thursday, April 9. Restrictions remained in place until 5:15 a.m. on April 10. Initially, they were extended until 1:30 a.m., and then until 3:30 a.m.
The airport warned of flight delays on April 10–11.
The previous closure of Vilnius Airport due to smugglers’ balloons occurred on March 31.
