The human rights centre Viasna reports that some pardoned political prisoners have not yet been released. According to the organisation, they are listed among those granted pardons but remain in detention.
It should be recalled that earlier today it was reported that 250 political prisoners were released in Belarus as part of an agreement with the United States. It was stated that 235 people were freed inside the country, while another 15 were sent to Lithuania.
