TV presenter and singer Katsiaryna Vadanosava explained her decision to withdraw from the electoral list “Latushka Coalition and For Freedom Movement” in the Coordination Council elections. According to her, the reason is related to one of her jobs.

“I was a member of the previous convocation of the Coordination Council, my term will soon end, but this time one of my employers (and I have several jobs, as you probably know) informed me that my participation in any kind of political activity could be perceived negatively, and I could be accused of bias and lack of impartiality”, she wrote on Facebook.

“Since I have never used my professional position as a tool of influence, and since I believe that such (even hypothetical) accusations could affect my dignity and reputation, I am forced to withdraw my candidacy from the electoral list”, she added.

Vadanosava also expressed gratitude to her colleagues on the list and personally to Pavel Latushka, who helped her in resolving a difficult situation related to her mother, Nelli Vadanosava.

“Therefore, I have great respect and gratitude for my (now former) colleagues on the electoral list, and I also respect and thank candidates from all lists, knowing what a difficult and thankless burden they take on their shoulders”, the TV presenter said.
