The State Control Committee has suspended the operations of three clothing stores in Malaryta after inspectors identified serious violations.
The store owners lacked documentation confirming the quality and safety of most of the products on sale. In all three stores, goods that are mandatory for retail sale were absent, while Belarusian-made products accounted for less than 5% of the assortment.
Customers were also not provided with required information about the products, including composition, care instructions and sizing. Identification labels on some goods contained inaccurate information, while other products were sold without identification labels altogether.
The stores will remain closed until all violations have been fully addressed.
