Speaker of the House of Representatives Ihar Syarheyenka, acting on the instructions of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, arrived in Myanmar to take part in the inauguration ceremony of Min Aung Hlaing. The military junta leader was elected president of Myanmar on 3 April.
The Belarusian delegation arrived in Naypyidaw. It was met at the airport by Myanmar Deputy Foreign Minister Ko Ko Kyaw.
During the visit, Syarheyenka plans to meet with Min Aung Hlaing, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Assembly of the Union of Myanmar Khin Yi, and other officials, the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus said.
The Belarusian delegation also includes Bellegprom chairwoman Nadzeya Lazarevich.
