Belarusian democratic forces currently have no opportunity to negotiate with the Georgian authorities on recognising expired documents, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya said while answering journalists’ questions on the sidelines of the Conference of Belarusians Worldwide.
“In fact, the situation in Georgia is not the best. We do not have the opportunity at present, under the current circumstances, to reach agreements with the Georgian authorities on steps such as recognising expired passports or issuing foreigner passports.
But if people find themselves in a very difficult situation, we work with our international partners, with Poland and Lithuania, to evacuate people if, for example, something threatens them there”, she said.
