Retail Turnover Rises by 1.6% in January–February

Retail turnover in Belarus reached 15.6 billion rubles in January–February, which is 1.6% higher than in the same period last year, Belstat reported.

Trade organizations accounted for 95.8% of total retail turnover. Retail turnover within these organizations increased by 1.9% to 15 billion rubles.

The average daily retail turnover per capita since the beginning of the year amounted to 29 rubles. This is 2.4 rubles higher than in the previous year.

Wholesale turnover decreased by 7% to 25.7 billion rubles.

Turnover in public catering fell by 3.4% to 1.1 billion rubles.
