Russian businessman Dmitry Mazepin, who met with Aliaksandr Lukashenka last week, plans to establish an enterprise in Belarus. The facility will produce water-soluble fertilizers. According to him, a corresponding agreement has already been reached with Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.
“The prime minister and I agreed that we will build a small plant that will produce water-soluble fertilizers. The plant will be built on the basis of the Homiel Chemical Plant, and these fertilizers are specialized products used in greenhouses. Over the next two years, we, the company Uralchem, will invest and build this enterprise,” Mazepin said. His remarks were broadcast on Belarusian state television on Sunday.
Last week, Aliaksandr Lukashenka, while welcoming Mazepin, said that he was meeting with him at Turchyn’s suggestion.
Following the meeting, the Russian businessman said that although he does not manage Uralkali, he remains a shareholder in the company, and therefore business matters were among the topics discussed with Lukashenka.
