A meeting dedicated to resuming bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere took place at the Belarusian Education Ministry on May 26 with an Italian delegation. According to information from the Belarusian ministry, the meeting was held at the initiative of the Italian side.
The Italian delegation included Deputy Director General of Italy’s Foreign Ministry Samuela Isopi, who coordinates migration policy and Italian education abroad, and Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Belarus Tomaso Pietro Marchegiani. The Belarusian side was represented by Deputy Education Minister Katsiaryna Piatrutskaya and officials from the ministry.
“During the dialogue, the Belarusian side presented best practices of educational institutions and highlighted progress achieved in the development of school and university students. Particular attention was paid to the role of the Belarusian state in ensuring guarantees of social protection for children and young people”, the press release said.
