The Interior Ministry reported another anti-corruption operation.
According to the ministry’s press service, a 50-year-old deputy director for commercial affairs at “one of Vitsebsk’s city-forming enterprises” was detained for accepting a bribe. The bribe was handed over by a 54-year-old representative of a commercial company. The 20,000 rubles were allegedly paid in exchange for selecting a supplier of raw materials and ensuring timely payments under contracts.
During further operations, investigators uncovered cases in which the same individual had paid bribes totaling around 30,000 rubles to three employees of processing enterprises in Minsk, Vitsebsk and Brest regions.
Criminal cases have been opened.
