The Interior Ministry’s press service reported the detention of a “citizen of a neighboring country” for attempting to bribe police officers.
A police patrol stopped the car of a 29-year-old foreigner near Slonim. During an inspection, officers found mephedrone in his possession.
“To avoid legal consequences, the foreigner decided to ‘settle the matter on the spot’ and offered police officers a bribe of 15,000 rubles. Law enforcement officers warned the driver about criminal liability, but he did not respond and continued insisting on handing over the money”, the Interior Ministry said.
The foreigner was detained. Criminal cases have been opened.
