The Emergency Situations Ministry is dealing with the aftermath of severe weather. An orange weather alert remains in effect across Belarus yesterday and today.
“Over the past 24 hours, as a result of thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and squally winds with gusts of 15-20 m/s, three cases of fallen trees were recorded in the Homiel Region,” the ministry said.
Rescuers also removed a fallen tree in the Chashniki District.
This morning, Emergency Situations Ministry units were called out to pump water from flooded residential properties in Salihorsk and Slutsk.
