EU ambassadors have approved a 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine, European editor at RFE/RL Rikard Jozwiak reported.

The 20th package of sanctions against Russia was also approved.

Hungary and Slovakia had blocked both the loan and the new sanctions package, citing the suspension of oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline, which was damaged on Ukrainian territory in a Russian strike. Ukraine said on April 21 that it had completed repairs on the damaged section. Oil transit resumed today. The first deliveries to Slovakia and Hungary are expected on April 23.
