A drone carrying Belarusian cigarettes flew into Latvia. Latvian border guards intercepted the shipment before the smugglers could retrieve it.
On August 30, border guards found a drone in a forest in Latvia’s Augšdaugava Municipality with a box attached to it. The box contained 15,000 NZ Gold cigarettes bearing Belarusian excise stamps.
A criminal case has been opened, the Latvian State Border Guard reported.
