The operational and investigative measures were carried out by the Polish police, the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the prosecutor’s office. Arrest warrants for the suspects were issued last week.
Poland’s minister-coordinator of special services, Tomasz Siemoniak, said Russian intelligence services were behind the arson attack.
“We have no doubt that Russian intelligence services are behind this act of sabotage. Russian intelligence services are increasingly turning to people linked to the criminal underworld for assistance. We have excellent police officers and Internal Security Agency staff who know how to effectively identify and unravel every such case,” Siemoniak said.
On September 23, a fire broke out at a Starlink satellite communications ground station in Wola Krobowska, in Poland’s Masovian Voivodeship. Poland launched an investigation into acts carried out in the interests of foreign intelligence against Poland, as well as an act of sabotage and a terrorist offence involving arson.
