Belenergo has begun developing an automated system for monitoring and metering heat energy — ASKUTE. This was announced by Aliaksandr Mikhnyuk, deputy chief engineer of the enterprise, at a press conference, BelTA reported.
According to him, software development and the necessary regulatory documentation for the system are currently underway. This is a continuation of the course toward intelligent automation — a transition from simple metering to Smart Grid management systems. The already implemented ASKUÉ system makes it possible to optimize electricity consumption in real time and smooth peak loads.
The second area of work is equipment modernization.
“Modernization of production, replacement of transformers and electric motors with modern energy-efficient series directly affects the reduction of production costs,” Mikhnyuk noted.
According to him, Belenergo is also simultaneously introducing heat recovery technologies and the use of renewable energy sources.
