The Belarusian Council of Ministers has adopted a resolution updating the lists of positions subject to occupational pension insurance.

“The document was prepared with the aim of comprehensively revising the lists of industries, jobs, professions and positions with harmful and hazardous working conditions that have been in force since 2005, on the basis of which employers determine the positions and professions of employees subject to occupational pension insurance”, the government press service said.

The lists exclude professions and positions that are no longer relevant:

  • 406 professions and positions that are no longer used in the economy,
  • 356 professions and positions for which harmful working conditions were not confirmed in any organization based on certification results,
  • 78 professions and positions for which certification results showed optimal or acceptable working conditions.

The names of professions and positions were also brought into line with updated qualification directories. The wording of jobs, conditions and indicators was clarified based on law enforcement practice.

“The resolution will make it possible to reduce unnecessary financial and time costs for organizations related to workplace certification in cases where the assessment of harmful conditions does not confirm employees’ right to occupational pension insurance”, the Council of Ministers press service explained.
