Siarhei Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with ambassadors of Gulf countries to Russia in Moscow on Thursday.
According to the Belarusian embassy in Russia, representatives of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Jordan took part in the meeting.
The sides discussed developments in the Gulf region as well as in the Middle East more broadly. The ambassadors “informed the Belarusian side of the positions of their capitals regarding the current geopolitical situation in the region”. Lukashevich reaffirmed Belarus’ commitment to political and diplomatic conflict resolution.
