Belarusian customs authorities say they are fully prepared to resume traffic at the Belarusian border crossings of Bruzgi and Bierastavitsa, which neighbour Poland. The statement was issued by the State Customs Committee following Poland’s decision to reopen the Kuznica-Bialostocka and Bobrowniki crossings, about which the Polish side officially notified Belarus.

“On 17 November from 02:00 (Belarus time), the Polish border crossings Kuznica-Bialostocka and Bobrowniki will be opened, and the Belarusian side has been officially informed. The relevant order was signed yesterday by Poland’s Minister of the Interior and Administration.

Only passenger traffic, excluding buses, will be allowed through Kuznica, while Bobrowniki will permit passenger cars and buses, as well as trucks from EU countries, participants in the European Economic Area Agreement, and Switzerland,” the agency said.

“Customs authorities are fully prepared to resume traffic at the neighbouring Belarusian border crossings Bruzgi and Bierastavitsa — customs shifts are staffed, infrastructure has been upgraded, and all available technical systems are functioning. The reopening of two additional Polish crossings will help improve the situation in the border area,” the State Customs Committee added.
