By order of the Belarusian defense minister, a consolidated unit has been formed within the Armed Forces to assist farmers, the Defense Ministry said.
The unit has been sent to assist in Pastavy, Hlybokaye, Verkhnyadzvinsk, Liozna, Ushachy, Sharkawshchyna and Senna districts. Military personnel are helping with the sowing of grain crops, land preparation, transportation of agricultural cargo and maintenance of farming equipment.
Over several days, the servicemen sowed grain crops on around 215 hectares and transported around 300 tonnes of cargo.
