Belstat has published inflation data for March. Monthly inflation stood at 0.6%, the same level as in February. At the same time, annual inflation slowed from 5.6% to 5.4%.
Since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index has increased by 1.6%. It should be recalled that the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has set monthly limits for permissible price growth. For March, the threshold was 2.5%.
Core inflation, which excludes changes in prices for seasonal and regulated goods and services, amounted to 0.5% in March, the same level as in February, while since the beginning of the year it has reached 1.3%.
In March, compared with February, food prices increased by 0.3%, non-food goods by 0.5%, and services by 1.2%.
Since the beginning of the year, food prices have risen by 1.7%, non-food goods by 0.8%, and service tariffs by 2.6%.
Over the year, food prices increased by 7.8%, non-food goods by 2.2%, and service tariffs by 6%.
The inflation target for 2026 is no more than 7%.
