An ambulance crew was threatened with a pistol in Lojeu. The incident occurred in April.
According to the State Committee of Forensic Examinations, paramedics were called to assist a woman who had fallen ill after consuming alcohol.
A man and a woman were present in the apartment. The woman was shouting loudly, using abusive language and behaving aggressively.
“At one point, the man, who was also intoxicated, pointed a pistol at the medical workers. The crew quickly left the apartment and reported the incident to the police,” the committee said.
Police officers detained the suspect and seized the weapon. The pistol was sent for forensic examination.
“The seized weapon is a Borner M84 pneumatic gas-cylinder pistol designed to fire 4.5 mm spherical pellets. It belongs to products structurally similar to pneumatic weapons and has a muzzle energy of 2.28 joules. This item is not a firearm. The pistol is capable of firing,” the experts concluded.
A criminal case has been opened.
