Bus Carrying Belarusian Children’s Football Team Comes Under Fire in Russia, Four Children Injured

A bus carrying a children’s football team from Homiel came under a drone strike in Russia’s Bryansk Region, according to acting regional governor Yegor Kovalchuk. The bus was transporting the children to Gelendzhik.

Kovalchuk said the drone was Ukrainian. A woman accompanying the team was killed. Six people, including four children, were injured.

“As a result of the targeted strike, a woman accompanying the team was killed. Six people, including four children, were injured. All victims were promptly taken to hospital, where they received the necessary medical assistance,” Kovalchuk wrote on Telegram.

The bus passengers are expected to be returned home in the near future.
