Sixty Belarusian citizens “who found themselves in a difficult situation due to the escalation of the situation in Lebanon” were evacuated to Moscow on a Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a briefing.
According to her, on April 21, on the instructions of Vladimir Putin, a special Emergencies Ministry flight delivered about 28 tonnes of Russian humanitarian aid to Beirut. On the return flight, 67 Russian citizens and 60 Belarusian citizens were evacuated to Moscow.
