Strong gusty winds in the Vitsyebsk region have disrupted the operation of power grids. An orange weather alert has been declared in the region.
Due to the wind, the 110 kV Orsha CHP – Orsha Severnaya line was temporarily disconnected, disrupting the operating conditions of the Orsha CHP plant. Energy workers are restoring heat supply to consumers.
As of 13:00, restoration work is under way on five 10 kV power lines in 18 settlements, mainly in the Vitsyebsk, Liozna, Orsha and Dubrouna districts. A total of 44 emergency crews, 151 personnel and 52 units of equipment have been deployed to deal with the последствия of the severe weather.
Vitsyebskenergo warned that damaged and downed wires pose a deadly danger. Approaching them is strictly prohibited. Such incidents should be immediately reported by calling 115 or 144.
