The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has received a written message from Aliaksandr Lukashenka on ways to strengthen cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries, WAM reported.
The message was delivered in person by Lukashenka’s eldest son Viktar Lukashenka. In the report, he is described as the “special envoy of the President of Belarus”.
“The special envoy conveyed the greetings of the President of Belarus and his wishes for further progress and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates,” the statement said.
In turn, the UAE president asked that his greetings be conveyed to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, along with wishes for the continued development and prosperity of Belarus and its people.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, as well as a number of sheikhs and officials.
Viktar Lukashenka is currently on a tour of Gulf countries. He arrived in the UAE yesterday, on April 23.
A day earlier, on April 22, acting as a special envoy of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Viktar delivered a written message to the Sultan of Oman from his father. On behalf of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Viktar Lukashenka was received by the Sultan’s son, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said.
