Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė is convening a meeting of the National Security Commission on the morning of March 24, she wrote on Facebook.
The meeting is expected to discuss the incident involving an object that fell and exploded in the Varėna District.
Ruginienė stated that the incident does not pose a threat to the safety of residents.
On Monday night, an unidentified object, presumably a drone, fell and exploded in Lithuania’s Varėna District near Lake Lavysas, not far from the Belarusian border.
