Viktar Babaryka announced the launch of his new project, Belarus Network. It will focus on addressing the problems of Belarusians inside the country, the challenges faced by the diaspora, and issues shared by those who remain in Belarus and those who have left.
Babaryka said that he and his team had reviewed what had been created over the past six years and concluded that a new tool was needed.
“We were not looking for weak points — we were looking for opportunities for growth. We examined where people receive real benefits, where ready-made and effective solutions already exist, where allocated resources are being used efficiently, where there are good projects, good ideas and good people, and, in fact, where all of this loses its strength. That happens because there is no connection between them,” Babaryka said.
He described the new initiative as a bridge that will connect people with resources and opportunities to those who “are solving specific problems faced by Belarusians.”
“We have already clearly defined three priorities for our work. We must address the problems of Belarusians inside the country. We must address issues shared by those inside and outside Belarus. And we must do everything possible to help solve the problems of those outside Belarus — that is, the challenges faced by the diaspora.
Belarus Network is not a project solely about emigration. It is a tool for Belarusians and for Belarus,” Babaryka explained.
Belarus Network will be built on three principles: participants’ security, transparency, and tangible results for people.
The initiative is currently recruiting a team and partners. It is also developing criteria for selecting projects and building cooperation with partners.
According to Babaryka, an initial team has already been assembled, and partners have been secured in several areas. Initial funding for the project has also been obtained.
Belarus Network is looking for people with relevant expertise to join its team.
“We need partners with resources. We are looking for those who are ready to work with us to improve efficiency and ensure the effective use of the resources currently allocated to supporting the Belarusian cause. …We also need partner organizations — those who share our principles and are ready to cooperate while remaining true to themselves,” Babaryka said.
He asked people to send questions and proposals to his personal Facebook account.
Babaryka also explained how he plans to support himself financially. He said he has established a consulting company.
“Its main area of work is the use of artificial intelligence tools to transform small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to help reshape people’s personal and professional lives. This is my own business,” he said.
