New North Korean Ambassador Begins Work in Belarus

On 7 April, North Korean Ambassador to Belarus Chi Gyong Su presented copies of his credentials to Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou.

Ryzhankou wished the ambassador success and expressed confidence in the effectiveness of his future work in Belarus.

“The interlocutors confirmed their commitment to the further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and the DPRK in various fields. Special attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached during the top-level visit to Pyongyang,” the Foreign Ministry press service reported.

It should be recalled that Alyaksandr Lukashenka visited Pyongyang at the end of March. The sides signed a friendship and cooperation agreement and agreed to open a Belarusian embassy in North Korea and organise visa-free travel.
