Marharyta Vorykhava has been elected head of the Coordination Council’s International Commission in a second round of voting, which took place today.
In the first round, Marharyta Vorykhava, representing the “Nastup” faction, received 36 votes. Ksenia Lutskina, representing the “European Choice” faction, received 28 votes, while Aliaksandra Mamayeva, an independent delegate, received one vote.
In the second round, 40 delegates voted for Vorykhava and 31 voted for Lutskina. Five delegates abstained or voted against all candidates.
In the third convocation of the Coordination Council, the International Commission was headed by Aliaksandra Mamayeva, a member of the “European Choice” faction. In November 2025, she publicly spoke about attempts by the KGB to recruit her. In June 2026, the “European Choice” faction passed a vote of no confidence in Mamayeva. She subsequently left the faction but remained in the Coordination Council as an independent delegate.
Yesterday, Vorykhava announced her resignation as the United Transitional Cabinet’s representative for youth policy.
