Lukashenka Replaces Commander of Special Operations Forces

Colonel Aliaksandr Iliukevich has been appointed commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces. The corresponding decree was signed today by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, his press service reported.

Major General Vadzim Dzenisenka, who previously held this post, has been discharged into the reserve due to age, with the right to wear military uniform and insignia.

Iliukevich previously served as chief of staff and first deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces.
