A 45-year-old Latvian citizen, Dmitriy Sivko, was tried under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a representative of the authorities). By court order, he was sent for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital with enhanced supervision, the human rights center Viasna reported.
The case was heard in 2022 by the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Homiel. The man’s exact whereabouts are currently unknown to human rights defenders.
