The Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case against two residents of Pinsk suspected of committing fraud on an especially large scale.

According to investigators, the 53- and 58-year-old men placed online advertisements last year offering tulip bulbs for sale on behalf of the companies OAO Tsvetovski and the farm Ogorod Fermera. Customers were required to make an advance payment. After receiving the money, the suspects allegedly failed to fulfill their obligations.

Investigators currently have information about 29 victims. The total damage amounts to 230,000 rubles.

“Investigators believe that the number of victims of the suspects’ illegal activities may be higher. Therefore, we ask citizens who may have become victims of similar fraudulent actions by Uladzimir Dzikavitski, Yury Belchug, OOO Tsvetovski and the farm Ogorod Fermera to report this by phone: 8 (0162) 27 37 00 or 8 (0162) 27 38 66,” the Investigative Committee said.
