Belarus is continuing a readiness check of its internal troops. The Interior Ministry’s press service said that after information emerged that the 7th Separate Special Police Brigade in the Vitsyebsk region had been placed on alert, “veterans of the Interior Ministry and its internal troops expressed their willingness to return to service.”
Some of the scenarios being practiced as part of the check were also disclosed.
“In Liozna and Dubrouna, unknown men with backpacks who left objects on the railway tracks are being sought. Internal troops special-purpose units of the Interior Ministry, “Vityaz” and “Rys,” have been deployed for the search. The main efforts are focused on inspecting the railway tracks and adjacent areas using UAVs, as well as foot and mobile patrols.
Another scenario involves information about perpetrators traveling in two off-road vehicles without identifying markings. There is information that they intend to break through the state border”, the statement said.
These scenarios do not exhaust the readiness check.
