The official Telegram channel of the Homiel District Executive Committee on Thursday at 8:58 a.m. published a post containing insults directed at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The message remained on the channel for only a few minutes before being deleted.

“This is exactly the kind of case where narcotic intoxication leads to delusional hallucinations…” the authors of the Homiel District Executive Committee’s Telegram channel wrote, accompanying the message with an AI-generated image before deleting the post for unknown reasons.

The post was a reaction to reports that relay transmitters on Belarusian territory, which Russian forces had used to coordinate strikes on Ukraine, had ceased operating as of June 22.

Representatives of the authorities in Minsk have not yet officially commented on the reports.

On June 19, the Ukrainian president gave Aliaksandr Lukashenka one week to disconnect the relay transmitters used by Russian drones, warning that otherwise Ukraine would destroy them itself.
