April saw a record low number of recorded incursions by Russian drones into Belarus, all of which occurred at the end of the month. The data was reported by Flagstok, which regularly monitors violations of Belarusian airspace by Russian UAVs during attacks on Ukraine.
On April 25, during the day, the Ukrainian monitoring channel “eRadar” recorded the flight of a jet-powered Shahed drone across Belarusian territory, heading towards the Kyiv Reservoir near Chornobyl. The reservoir borders the Brahin district of the Homiel region.
On the same date, but late at night, another Russian drone entered the Brest region. According to the “Rynda Monitors” channel, the drone manoeuvred south of Pinsk. The “PPO Radar” channel published a map indicating that the drone entered Belarusian airspace and then flew into the Volyn region to attack the city of Kovel.
In addition to the documented cases, Flagstok is aware of several other incidents in a border district of the Homiel region. Russian UAVs were seen and heard there at least twice in the second half of April. In one case, a drone flew roughly along the Belarusian-Ukrainian border; in another, it crossed the border and entered Belarusian territory.
