Belarusian Customs Blocks “Grey Imports” Bound for Russia

Belarusian customs officers intercepted a shipment of goods intended for Russian consumers. A Volkswagen minibus was stopped on the M1 highway.

Inside was a commercial batch of goods that had been brought in from abroad by individuals under the guise of items for personal use. The shipment was later consolidated and sent to Russia. The vehicle contained 264 units of household appliances, construction tools, children’s clothing and toys. The total value of the goods was estimated at 56,000 rubles.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
