Government Extends Preferential Loans For Consumer Cooperatives By One Year

The Council of Ministers has ensured financing for consumer cooperatives in the Minsk and Vitsyebsk regions through preferential loans until the end of 2027. Government resolution No. 220 of May 4 was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The government’s initial scheme предусматривала, that the Finance Ministry would place funds on deposit in Belagroprombank and Belarusbank at 1.5% per annum until the end of 2026. In turn, these banks would provide loans to consumer cooperative organisations at 3% per annum.

The placement of Finance Ministry funds in the two banks has now been extended until the end of 2027. Consumer cooperative organisations will receive loans to finance current operations within the limits of repayments of previously issued loans. The total amount of such loans will be 65.83 million roubles. The recipients will be:

  • Vitsyebsk Regional Consumer Society,
  • Vitsyebsk City Procurement Office,
  • Polatsk City Procurement Office,
  • Polatsk Market of the city of Polatsk,
  • Biarezina District Consumer Society,
  • Minsk District Consumer Society,
  • Stoubtsy District Consumer Society.
