Government Revises Tariffs For Cultural Event Services

The Council of Ministers of Belarus has revised tariffs for services related to the organisation of cultural events. Government resolution No. 215 of May 2 was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and enters into force upon publication.

The document specifies that the provisions governing remuneration for event-related services do not apply to events financed without the use of budget funds.

The government has also decided to abandon the gradation of remuneration based on the complexity of events. Previously, different rates applied to events at local and national levels, as well as those involving senior officials.

Accordingly, the maximum remuneration levels have been revised. They are now set at the level previously established for events of the highest complexity.

A scriptwriter may receive up to 70 base units, while a chief director may receive up to 80 base units.

For artistic groups, the gradation has been removed not only by event complexity but also by the extent of participation (one or two performances, a full concert, etc.).
