Motorcyclist From Liozna Loses Licence for Riding on One Wheel and Reaching 217 km/h

Officers from the inter-district traffic police department of the Vitsyebsk Regional Internal Affairs Directorate used the national public security monitoring system to identify the rider of a Suzuki motorcycle who had repeatedly violated traffic regulations on the roads of Vitsyebsk. The violations included improper overtaking and riding on the rear wheel.

The offender was identified as a 28-year-old resident of Liozna. He was held administratively liable and received a fine as well as a one-year suspension of his driving privileges.

Several days later, an unregistered Yamaha motorcycle travelling at 217 km/h was recorded in Vitsyebsk District. The same rider was operating the vehicle. Administrative proceedings were initiated against him, and the motorcycle, which had been borrowed from an acquaintance, was impounded and placed in a secured parking facility, the Interior Ministry press service said.
