Zelenskyy: Ukraine Knows of Four Signal Relay Stations for Russian Drones in Belarus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine is aware of four signal relay stations installed in Belarus and operating on behalf of Russia. According to him, they are located in Homiel and Brest regions along the border with Ukraine and help the Russian military carry out drone strikes on Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn regions.

“Ukraine has repeatedly stated that if Russia drags Belarus into this war, it could lead to extremely dangerous consequences. In particular, we have recorded that special equipment has been installed along our border on the territory of Belarus. It works for Russia — for the Russians — and helps them carry out drone strikes against us, against our territory. Ukraine is aware of four such signal relay stations in Belarus, specifically in Homiel and Brest regions. It is this equipment that made it possible to strike Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn regions — our energy infrastructure, our railways, and ordinary towns and villages. Belarus still has time to dismantle this equipment,” he warned.

The president also said that Ukraine is aware of all Belarusian enterprises supplying components for Russian military equipment, missile systems and fuel for the war.

“All of this is part of drawing Belarus into the war. Ukraine does not want this, and we have already warned the de facto leadership of Belarus, which influences these developments. Overall, from January to May alone, gasoline supplies from Belarus to Russia increased thirteenfold compared with the same period last year, while diesel fuel supplies tripled.

Unfortunately, this helps Russia adapt to pressure and does not bring peace any closer. It should be the opposite: peace should come closer, and Belarus should act in accordance with what its de facto leadership says through unofficial channels, so that we in Ukraine can truly see that Belarus is sincerely opposed to this war. This war must be ended. We need peace,” he stressed.

On June 19, Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave Aliaksandr Lukashenka one week to switch off the relay stations used by Russian drones, warning that otherwise Ukraine would do so itself.
