The Bahdanovich family of publishers — spouses Helena and Vatslau and their daughters Antanina and Viktoryia — were detained in Minsk. The detention is likely linked to the activities of the Tekhnalogiya publishing house, according to Khrystsiyanskaya Vizya.
According to preliminary information, Helena and Antanina were released. The whereabouts and status of Vatslau and iktoryia remain unknown.
On February 21, the Tekhnalogiya publishing house announced that it was suspending operations “for technical reasons.”
On February 17–18, mass detentions of publishers and book distributors took place in Minsk. Security officers visited employees of both active and closed publishing houses. During searches of apartments, phones were checked. Today it became known that the publishing house Gutenberg Publisher has been designated an “extremist formation.”
