Drone Carrying Belarusian Cigarettes Flies Into Lithuania

In Lithuania’s Šalčininkai District, border guards detected and forced down a drone carrying cigarettes.

The drone, flying from Belarus, was spotted during the night of November 2. Border guards brought it down and went to the crash site, where they found a homemade unmanned aerial vehicle and 750 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes. The shipment’s value is estimated at 3,892 euros.

An administrative investigation has been launched, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service reported.

Since the beginning of this year, Lithuanian border guards have intercepted 51 drones carrying cigarettes from Belarus.
